Faris Natour is an internationally recognised expert, with more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of business and human rights. Natour leads the Human Rights and Business Initiative at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, driving research and collaboration and teaching business and human rights in the MBA and undergraduate business programmes.

In 2015, Natour co-founded Article One, a business and human rights consultancy advising corporate and institutional clients on how to embed human rights in business and institutional operations. Before this, he spent 10 years at Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) in San Francisco, California, where he led BSR's global human rights practice as managing director. 

Natour has an LL.M. in International Law from George Washington University Law School, Washington DC, and a law degree from Universität Regensburg, Germany.

Andrew Logan is a director with Ceres, a coalition of non-governmental organisations and institutional investors representing more than $23 trillion in assets. Through powerful networks and advocacy, Ceres tackles the world’s biggest sustainability challenges.

Since joining Ceres in 2002, Logan has worked with investors to engage the oil and gas sector on key sustainability issues including climate change, carbon asset risk, biodiversity and water. 

Logan has a background in corporate strategy from his work with Bain & Company, a leading management consultancy.

Wu Changhua

Wu Changhua has been a China sustainability policy and partnership specialist for 25 years. She now leads China and Asia strategy for the Office of Jeremy Rifkin in Maryland, USA, with a particular focus on smart and clean cities. A social entrepreneur, Changhua specialises in clean technology innovation and talent development. 

Wu Changhua formerly led The Climate Group’s operations and strategic development in the Chinese-speaking world. Prior to this, she was China CEO of ENSR and Director of China Studies at the World Resources Institute. She holds two graduate degrees, one in law from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the other in environmental policy from the University of Maryland.

Mandy Kirby

Mandy Kirby,

Mandy is an advocate for transparency and inclusion, having co-founded City Hive to be a network for change in how financial industries address diversity in their own operations and the businesses they invest in. She liaises with global reporting and standard-setting bodies to raise standards of disclosure on non-financial factors and to integrate them more closely with financial considerations. 

Previously, as Director of Reporting, Assessment and Accountability at the PRI, Mandy held investors in more than 50 countries to account in requiring reporting on their use of environmental, social and governance factors in investment decision making. And as Associate Director at the Maplecroft consultancy, she led research projects for multi-sector clients in developed and emerging markets, advising on risk management and sustainability issues.

Marie Morice

Senior Advisor Sustainable Finance, UN Global Compact

Second year on the panel

Marie Morice is the Head of Sustainable Finance at the UN Global Compact and responsible for its overall strategy and global implementation, focusing on developing innovative financial instruments to direct private finance towards critical sustainability solutions. Prior to her current role, she led the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative's work in the US and Canada.

A Senior Director of Sustainability Strategy, Marie has more than 15 years of experience in global environmental and social issues and in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Marie recently worked for Barclays as Head of Global Sustainability Strategy for the CEO’s office, where she developed the bank’s global 2020 sustainability plan and helped create new commercial opportunities.

Before joining Barclays, Marie worked in senior sustainability roles at Accenture, CSR Asia, the UK Department for Transport and WWF on issues including sustainable cities, climate change and supply chains. In these positions, she managed global teams and multi-stakeholder programmes in many regions, including Africa, Asia, Europe and the USA.
