Shell Shuan Shim Revamps Its Website and Brings Its 65-Year Culinary Legacy to Shell Café
Bangkok — The Shell Company of Thailand Limited is building on the legacy of Shell Shuan Shim, Thailand’s trusted symbol of culinary excellence for more than 65 years, with the launch of a revamped website at www.ShellShuanShim.com and www.เชลล์ชวนชิม.com.

The enhanced digital platform makes it easier for consumers to discover more than 2,300 Shell Shuan Shim-certified restaurants across the country. At the same time, Shell is extending the Shell Shuan Shim experience to Shell Café through selected food and beverage offerings from Thai entrepreneurs and local communities, bringing authentic local tastes to consumers on the go.
Established in 1961 through a collaboration between The Shell Company of Thailand Limited and M.R. Thanadsri Svasti, Shell Shuan Shim was created to recommend outstanding restaurants throughout Thailand based on one simple principle: genuine quality and authentic taste, without accepting any compensation or benefits from participating restaurants.
Over the decades, Shell Shuan Shim has become one of Thailand’s most trusted culinary endorsements, evolving from a restaurant recommendation column into the iconic porcelain bowl emblem recognised by generations of Thai consumers. The role of chief food reviewer has since been carried forward by M.L. Parsan Svasti, helping Shell Shuan Shim remain an enduring part of Thailand’s culinary heritage.
Today, while staying true to its founding principle of recognising exceptional food, Shell Shuan Shim continues to evolve to meet the needs of modern consumers. The revamped website offers an enhanced digital experience that enables users not only to discover recommended restaurants more easily, but also to explore the stories, people and local traditions behind Thailand’s rich and diverse food culture.

Ms. Ornuthai Na Chiangmai, Country Chair of The Shell Company of Thailand Limited, said: “As Shell marks its 135th year of operations in Thailand, we are proud that Shell Shuan Shim continues to be a trusted symbol of culinary excellence that has been part of Thai consumers’ lives for more than 65 years. The launch of this new website reflects our commitment to preserving and evolving this valuable heritage into a more accessible digital experience that meets the needs of today’s consumers.
Beyond helping consumers discover quality restaurants across the country, we are also bringing Shell Shuan Shim-curated flavours to Shell Café through menu items and products from Thai entrepreneurs and local communities. This creates new business opportunities for small enterprises while introducing authentic local flavours to a broader audience. It also reflects Shell’s commitment to creating shared value for consumers, business partners, communities, and Thai society in line with Shell’s ‘Powering Progress strategy’.”
The redesigned website features improved search and navigation tools that enable consumers to explore recommended Shell Shuan Shim-certified restaurants across Thailand and plan memorable food journeys with greater ease. Users can also stay connected with the latest recommendations, local food stories and culinary insights through Shell Shuan Shim’s social media channels, including TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.

M.L. Pasan Svasti said, “For more than 65 years, Shell Shuan Shim has remained committed to recognising restaurants based on the quality and authenticity of their food. Many of these establishments offer more than exceptional cuisine; they also reflect the stories, lifestyles and local wisdom of the communities they represent. This new website will make it easier for consumers to discover Shell Shuan Shim-certified restaurants while encouraging them to explore hidden culinary gems and regional dishes that may not yet be widely known. Helping people appreciate the value of local cuisine not only creates opportunities for entrepreneurs but also contributes to preserving and passing on Thailand’s rich culinary heritage for future generations."

Shell’s net carbon intensity and net-zero emissions target
In this press release we may refer to Shell’s “net carbon intensity” (NCI), which includes Shell’s carbon emissions from the production of our energy products, our suppliers’ carbon emissions in supplying energy for that production and our customers’ carbon emissions associated with their use of the energy products we sell. Shell’s NCI also includes the emissions associated with the production and use of energy products produced by others which Shell purchases for resale. Shell only controls its own emissions. The use of the terms Shell’s “net carbon intensity” or NCI is for convenience only and not intended to suggest these emissions are those of Shell plc or its subsidiaries.
Shell’s operating plan and outlook are forecasted for a three-year period and ten-year period, respectively, and are updated every year. They reflect the current economic environment and what we can reasonably expect to see over the next three and ten years. Accordingly, the outlook reflects our combined Scope 1 and 2 target, NCI target and our oil products ambition over the next ten years. However, Shell’s operating plan and outlook cannot reflect our 2050 net-zero emissions target, as this target is outside our planning period. Such future operating plans and outlooks could include changes to our portfolio, efficiency improvements and the use of carbon capture and storage and carbon credits. In the future, as society moves towards net-zero emissions, we expect Shell’s operating plans and outlooks to reflect this movement. However, if society is not net zero in 2050, as of today, there would be significant risk that Shell may not meet this target.
The information provided above regarding Shell’s NCI and net zero emissions target are not intended, nor should they be construed as introducing, suggesting or making any claim, target or representation thereof other than what is included in the press release.
Forward-Looking non-GAAP measures
This press release may contain certain forward-looking non-GAAP measures. We are unable to provide a reconciliation of these forward-looking non-GAAP measures to the most comparable GAAP financial measures because certain information needed to reconcile those non-GAAP measures to the most comparable GAAP financial measures is dependent on future events some of which are outside the control of Shell, such as oil and gas prices, interest rates and exchange rates. Moreover, estimating such GAAP measures with the required precision necessary to provide a meaningful reconciliation is extremely difficult and could not be accomplished without unreasonable effort. Non-GAAP measures in respect of future periods which cannot be reconciled to the most comparable GAAP financial measure are calculated in a manner which is consistent with the accounting policies applied in Shell plc’s consolidated financial statements. These forward-looking non-GAAP measures are provided to assist readers in understanding management’s use and expectations of such measures and may not be appropriate for other purposes..
