Shell publishes Energy Transition Strategy 2024

London - Shell plc (Shell) has published its first energy transition update since the launch of its Powering Progress strategy in 2021. At our Capital Markets Day in June 2023, we outlined how our strategy delivers more value with less emissions, emphasising the “more value” part. In this energy transition update, we are focusing on how the same strategy delivers “less emissions”.

Global LNG demand to grow beyond 2040, driven by industrial demand in China and economic development in South Asia and South-east Asia

London – Global demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) is estimated to rise by more than 50% by 2040, as industrial coal-to-gas switching gathers pace in China and South Asian and South-east Asian countries use more LNG to support their economic growth, according to Shell’s LNG Outlook 2024 which was released on February 14, 2024.

Asia's first 'Shell Card QR' strengthens Shell’s position as a technology leader and bring ease to Fleet customers

Bangkok, Thailand: Shell Fleet Solutions from The Shell Company of Thailand Limited recently reinforced its leadership in technology and solutions by launching “Shell Card QR” for the first time in Thailand and Asia, demonstrating Shell’s ongoing commitment to enhancing services for Shell Card customers. With this newly added payment option for Shell Card, Shell will continue to provide fleet business customers with greater convenience and security at Shell stations nationwide. Customers can now experience prompt and accurate payments at their fingertips through QR code, as well as the ability to monitor their balance and payments on their mobile devices instantly by downloading the Shell Card Thailand Application and making cardless payments on both iOS and Android systems.
