เชลล์มีการเปิดตัว Shell Bitumen FreshAir ในประเทศไทยเมื่อช่วงต้นปีที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งมีคุณสมบัติลดการปล่อยก๊าซต่างๆ ลดกลิ่น และฝุ่นละอองที่เกิดขึ้นจากการผสมยางมะตอยในขั้นตอนการผลิตและระหว่างการลาดยางเฉลี่ย 40% เมื่อเทียบกับยางมะตอยทั่วไป จึงช่วยลดผลกระทบเกี่ยวกับปัญหาคุณภาพอากาศ และยังเป็นการสนับสนุนนโยบายของประเทศไทยในการเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงานด้วยโซลูชั่นยางมะตอยที่เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพและสะอาดขึ้น

ผลิตภัณฑ์ Shell Bitumen 40/50

ผลิตภัณฑ์ Shell Bitumen 40/50 เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ยางมะตอยสูตรพิเศษที่ผลิตขึ้นเพื่อให้เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูงขึ้น มีความทนทานมากกว่ายางมะตอยเกรด 60/70 ผลิตภัณฑ์ Shell Bitumen 40/50 ได้รับการพิสูจน์ว่า ช่วยลดปัญหาการเกิดร่องล้อบนพื้นผิวถนนที่อาจนำไปสู่ความไม่ปลอดภัยบนท้องถนนได้ นอกจากนี้ เชลล์ยังภูมิใจที่ได้นำเสนอผลิตภัณฑ์ Shell Bitumen 40/50 BFA Plus ซึ่งเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพสูง ช่วยลดการปล่อยก๊าซต่างๆ และฝุ่นละอองที่เกิดขึ้นจากการผสมยางมะตอยในขั้นตอนการผลิตและระหว่างการลาดยาง เมื่อเทียบกับยางมะตอยทั่วไป

ผลิตภัณฑ์ Shell Mexphalte NRMA หรือ Para AC เป็นยางมะตอยเกรดพิเศษที่มียางพาราเป็นส่วนผสม Para AC เป็นแนวคิดที่กรมทางหลวงริเริ่มขึ้นในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านเพื่อใช้ปรับปรุงและก่อสร้างถนนที่มีความหนาแน่นด้านการจราจรในระดับกลาง และในช่วง 2-3 ปีที่ผ่านมา ถนนที่ใช้ยางมะตอย Para AC เป็นถนนในโครงการความรับผิดของกรมทางหลวงชนบทเป็นส่วนใหญ่

นวัตกรรม Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement

ยางมะตอยนับเป็นวัสดุที่ได้รับการรีไซเคิลมากที่สุดชนิดหนึ่งของโลก และอุตสาหกรรมปูพื้นผิวถนนยังเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีในการประยุกต์ใช้เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียนอีกด้วย โดยนอกเหนือจากการช่วยลดต้นทุนแล้ว การรีไซเคิลยางมะตอยยังช่วยอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรอีกด้วย การรีไซเคิลยางมะตอยคือการนำยางกลับมาใช้ใหม่โดยเพิ่มการใช้นวัตกรรม Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) ในการก่อสร้างถนนใหม่ จึงสามารถช่วยลดขยะ อนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ และเพิ่มการใช้ทรัพยากรได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

ยางมะตอยผสมอุ่นของเชลล์ ได้รับการออกแบบมาเป็นพิเศษให้สามารถทำงานที่อุณหภูมิการผลิตที่ต่ำกว่ายางมะตอยทั่วไปได้มากถึง 30 องศาเซลเซียส ทั้งยังช่วยลดปริมาณการใช้พลังงานและการผลิตก๊าซเรือนกระจกเมื่อมีการปูถนนอีกด้วย เทคโนโลยีของยางมะตอยผสมอุ่นยังช่วยเพิ่มความสามารถในการทำงานและความหนาแน่นของส่วนผสมยางอีกด้วย
