เชลล์ ประเทศไทย ผลักดันความร่วมมือทุกภาคส่วน สู่ระบบพลังงานที่ยั่งยืน ในงาน 2019 Shell Forum

นายอัษฎา หะรินสุต ประธานกรรมการ บริษัท เชลล์แห่งประเทศไทย จำกัด กล่าวว่า “เชลล์ ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของพลังงานในการเข้ามาช่วยสร้างสรรค์คุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี เราเชื่อว่าทุกคนมีบทบาทในการส่งเสริมการเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงาน ซึ่งการเปลี่ยนผ่านดังกล่าวจะต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วนที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับพลังงานทั้งระบบ ซึ่งเริ่มตั้งแต่ทางเลือกของผู้บริโภค เทคโนโลยี ไปจนถึงนโยบายภาครัฐ ในการช่วยลดคาร์บอนในระดับองค์รวมเชิงเศรษฐกิจ การสัมมนา 2019 Shell Forum แสดงให้เห็นถึงความมุ่งมั่นของเราในการสนับสนุนอนาคตของพลังงานที่ยั่งยืน ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับเจตนารมณ์ของเชลล์ในการ ‘เติมสุขให้ทุกชีวิต’ หรือ ‘Make Life’s Journeys Better’”

ภายในงาน คุณอัษฎาได้นำเสนอแนวทางของเชลล์ ประเทศไทย สู่พลังงานสะอาด เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ และดีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม หรือ “More and Cleaner Energy” ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับนโยบายพลังงาน 4.0 ของภาครัฐในการขับเคลื่อนประเทศสู่เป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน ประกอบด้วย

พลังงานที่มีประสิทธิภาพ: เชลล์ส่งมอบตัวเลือกผลิตภัณฑ์นวัตกรรมที่หลากหลายยิ่งขึ้นให้กับลูกค้า อย่างน้ำมันเชลล์ วี เพาเวอร์ ผลิตภัณฑ์น้ำมันหล่อลื่น Gas-to-Liquid และเชื้อเพลิงชีวภาพซึ่งเป็นการช่วยสนับสนุนเกษตรกรท้องถิ่น นอกจากการส่งมอบตัวเลือกผลิตภัณฑ์นวัตกรรมที่หลากหลายแล้ว การดำเนินการแม้เพียงส่วนย่อยก็สำคัญไม่แพ้กัน เชลล์ได้ช่วยผู้ขับขี่ให้ขับขี่ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพยิ่งขึ้นด้วยการแนะนำการปรับเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมการขับขี่ง่ายๆ อีกทั้งยังช่วยเตือนเมื่อรถต้องเข้าศูนย์บริการอีกด้วย นอกจากนี้ ผลิตภัณฑ์ยางมะตอยของเชลล์ ยังได้พัฒนาเทคโนโลยีใหม่ที่ช่วยเสริมความทนทาน ความยั่งยืนและเสริมประสิทธิภาพให้ท้องถนน ทั้งยังเชื่อมโยงชุมชนในประเทศไทยกับประเทศเพื่อนบ้านด้วย

พันธกิจเพื่อบรรเทาภาวะโลกร้อน: เชลล์ ประเทศไทย อยู่ในระยะเริ่มต้นของกิจกรรมการฟื้นฟูป่าเพื่อลดความหนาแน่นของก๊าซเรือนกระจกในชั้นบรรยากาศ และสำหรับการดำเนินงานของเชลล์ ประเทศไทย ยังได้ใช้แผงพลังงานแสงอาทิตย์ตามสถานีบริการน้ำมันในสาขานำร่อง สำนักงานสาขาต่างๆ ของเชลล์ เพื่อลดการปล่อยคาร์บอน และจะนำมาใช้ที่คลังน้ำมันในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้ นอกจากนี้ เชลล์ ประเทศไทย ยังได้ดำเนินโครงการมากมายเพื่อสนับสนุนเป้าหมายของรัฐบาลในการลดก๊าซเรือนกระจกภายในปี พ.ศ. 2568

เชลล์ ประเทศไทย ยังผลักดันให้มีการใช้กลไกกำหนดราคาคาร์บอน เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ภาคอุตสาหกรรม ภาคพลังงาน และผู้บริโภค พัฒนาประสิทธิภาพพลังงาน ลดก๊าซเรือนกระจก และส่งเสริมโครงการต่างๆ เช่น การดักจับและกักเก็บคาร์บอน รวมถึงวิธีธรรมชาติอย่างการปลูกป่า ทั้งนี้ เชลล์ ประเทศไทย ยินดีร่วมมือกับรัฐบาลในการจัดทำแผนและนโยบายการเปลี่ยนผ่านพลังงานที่มีประสิทธิภาพ

ส่งเสริมศักยภาพและการมีส่วนร่วมของผู้คน: เชลล์มุ่งมั่นในการเป็นกำลังสำคัญให้กับคนรุ่นใหม่ผ่านโครงการต่างๆ ที่เสริมองค์ความรู้ด้าน STEM (วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี วิศวกรรม และคณิตศาสตร์) เพื่อสำรวจระบบพลังงานของโลกที่กำลังเปลี่ยนแปลงไป ซึ่งพลังงานสะอาด เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ และดีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมจะเข้ามาช่วยขับเคลื่อนความก้าวหน้าของผู้คน โครงการต่างๆ รวมถึง การแข่งขันเชลล์ อีโค-มาราธอน เอเชีย ซึ่งนักศึกษาได้ประดิษฐ์และทดสอบรถที่สามารถวิ่งได้ไกลที่สุดด้วยพลังงานที่จำกัด และการแข่งขัน Imagine the Future ซึ่งนักศึกษาจะได้จำลองสถานการณ์พลังงานสะอาด เพิ่มประสิทธิภาพ และดีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมในอนาคตของเมืองต่างๆ ในภูมิภาคเอเชียและตะวันออกกลาง ที่อาจส่งผลไปยังการดำรงชีวิต ทำงาน และใช้เวลาว่างในอนาคต โดยนักศึกษาจากไทยเป็นผู้ชนะในการแข่งขันทั้ง 2 รายการมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง

ทั้งนี้ อีกหนึ่งส่วนสำคัญของงานสัมมนาในครั้งนี้ คือการนำเสนอรายงาน Sky Scenariosⁱ ซึ่งเป็นรายงานจำลองสถานการณ์ Shell Scenarios ฉบับล่าสุด โดย ดร.มัลลิกา อิชวารัน นักเศรษฐศาสตร์อาวุโสและที่ปรึกษาด้านนโยบาย เชลล์ กรุ๊ป สแตรทิจี้ ได้นำเสนอความเป็นไปได้ทางเทคนิค พร้อมความท้าทายสำหรับสังคมในการบรรลุเป้าหมายข้อตกลงปารีส (Paris Agreement)
