Environment & Society
Contributing to sustainable development is integral to the way we do business. As we work to help meet the world’s growing energy needs we aim to bring benefits to local communities and reduce impacts of our operations, including tackling greenhouse gas emissions. We look after our people and our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people have been laid out in the Shell General Business Principles for over 30 years.
Environment
Through partnerships with environmental experts and by using new technologies we are finding ways to help reduce the impact of our operations on the environment.
Society
We are supplying energy to help support economic growth and development. At the same time we are addressing concerns of communities near to our operations, upholding our reputation and protecting our business.
Safety
Safety is always our first priority. We aim to have zero fatalities and to prevent incidents like spills, fires, and accidents.
Sustainability report
We have published the Shell Sustainability Report since 1998. We do it because of our commitment to being transparent and honest, and our commitment to contribute to sustainable development by delivering responsible energy.
