Shell Diala Oils B

Shell Diala Oil B is a specially refined uninhibited light mineral oil for electrical applications. Shell Diala Oil B possesses good dielectric properties. It is highly resistant to oxidative degradation (i.e. formation of acids and sludge) and being of low viscosity circulates easily to provide efficient heat transfer.

Shell Diala Oil B is primarily intended for use in transformers as:

• a coolant, to dissipate the heat generated when the transformer is on load.
• a dielectric, to insulate windings by replacing the air or other gases between the conductors and in any voids present in solid insulating materials; and
• an arc extinguishing agent to quench the spark between the opening contacts when tap changing on load.

Shell Diala Oils BX

Shell Diala Oil BX is a specially refined, inhibited light mineral oil. The oil is dosed with an oxidation inhibitor for high temperature electrical applications. Shell Diala Oil BX possesses good dielectric properties. It is highly resistant to oxidative degradation (i.e. formation of acids and sludge) and being of low viscosity circulates easily to provide efficient heat transfer.

Shell Diala Oil BX is primarily intended for use in transformers as:
