An ideal choice for fleet managers who want to control maintenance costs, Shell Rimula R6 M provides a single oil solution for many different vehicle makes and engine technologies including Euro 2, 3 and some Euro 4 engines. It can also help contribute to improved fuel economy when compared to conventional SAE 15W-40 oils.

Enhanced additive activation
The use of synthetic base oil technology in combination with selected additive technology can result in an increase in the effectiveness of key components found in engine oil additive systems. Shell Rimula R6 M benefits from this enhanced additive activation which further boosts the performance of the advanced engine oil formulation. In particular, laboratory simulations show up to a 30% increase in effectiveness against oxidation and significantly better control of soot induced thickening.
Should you use Shell Rimula R6 M?
Shell Rimula R6 M is recommended for on-highway applications and is particularly suited for a wide range of trucking and transportation applications in vehicles using modern low-emission engines from Mercedes-Benz and MAN.
Shell Rimula R6 M also meets or exceeds the performance requirements of other European makers such as Volvo, Renault, DAF, Scania and Iveco as well as Cummins, Mack and many Japanese engine types. Not recommended for Caterpillar engines.
For enhanced performance and protection of the latest low emission engines, especially those fitted with exhaust diesel particulate filters (DPF), we recommend the use of our advanced low-emissions products, Shell Rimula R6 LM or LME.
