Shell invites Thai youths to compete in Shell Eco-marathon 2011
The Shell Eco-marathon Asia 2011 is an educational project that challenges student teams to design and build the most energy-efficient vehicle to compete against other teams’ vehicles. The winner is the vehicle that travels the farthest distance using the least amount of fuel (equivalent). The competition will be held at Sepang International Circuit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during July 6-9, 2011.
Recently, the first competition in July 2010, there were 81 teams, from 10 Asian countries and Thailand’s Army Transportation Engineering School (ATE-1) team won the winner prize with a record with the distance of 1,521 kms using fuel equivalent to 1 litre.
